Default Newcomer here..

Hi everyone, I'm new here. I've been experiencing problems with my new Intrepid, like
lights coming on til the car just dies, is it caused by battery problems or due to faulty altenator alone? Any help will be very much appreciated.

Thanks, Paulo

Your battery is used to just get the car started. Your alternator is what powers your car. If it just dies, then I would check it out. Look at the belts first befor anything. My girlfriend'scarwas doing that, it would run for a while then all of a sudden become extremely weak and not want to d anything and die off, and wouldn't. Restart. The alternator belt was bad and just needed replacing. Then after driving it a awhile had to have it tighten up.

If the battery light is on then the alternator is not charging. Check the belt and take the alternator and battery to autozone, they do free checks.
