Default Fuel pump ????

1999 Dodge Intrepid 3.2 117,000

Problem: After driving for an hour to an hour and a half on the highway, the car starts sputtering and stalls. This has happened twice. After sitting for 10-15 minutes it will finally restart, but run extremely rough. After sitting for an hour or so it will start and run fine.

After trying to start the car alot when it won't start it will kick up codes 0171 and 0174....lean mix.

Any help?

I'd agree with GMsucks. A guy at work just told my yesterday that his truck wasn't running right and stalling, he took it to the garage and they hooked it up to the machine. Lean Fuel Mixture. He hadn't changed the fuel filter in 70,000 miles, they took it off and it was so clogged that air wouldn't even move through it... put the new one on and it purs like a kitten... plus it's probably the cheapest thing to try first.
