88 Shadow Cold Engine Hesitation.
Great form....
Quick question on a hesitation problem I have.
1988 2.2L Dodge Shadow(no turbo)
300,000km
5 speed, Manual trany.
This problem just recently started...
Engine starts fine, idle seems fine...however there is a hesitation when excelerating or steady driving for about 10-15 minutes untill the engine warms up then the hesitation goes away.
I seem to recall having this problem a couple years ago but for the life of me can't remember what I had changed to fix the problem.
I checked the codes and all is fine and the check engine light dosen't come on. I am wondering if it could be the oxygen sensor or maybe the egr valve.
New fuel pump/filter changed last year, as the hesitation goes away once the engine warms I am suspecting a sensor of some sort.
Would appreciate a reply from anyone who may have had this problem before. Thanks
