Thanks to DF for saving me $$$ on a bad fuel pump. In another post someone was having a starting problem, turning over but not firing, sounded like a fuel tank assembly issue. I had the same problem, followed the post for a while and found out that because I live in California I fall under the 7 year 70,000 mile California Emissions Warranty. Just turned the truck over for the repair and said that it might fall under that warranty, the service advisor quickly told me that that would not be the case. Without even starting the truck for him he already knew the problem, fuel injectors. Well later that day he called me and said that it was a bad fuel pump and that it would be a arm and a leg to replace and a son of a gun to boot. But he could tell me how do change it out if I wanted to on my own, oh yeah and it was going to be a $112 service to check it out. I read him the page from my warranty book that had parts listed for emissions warranty in CA, Fuel pump was among the list, He claimed to have checked "Diamler Direct" for the warranted part but came up with nothing. Check again please, he checked with his "warranty manager" and said "Good news bro. you did your homework and it is warranted" I quess my homework was reading DodgeForum? He did try to get me for a deductable (never heard of one before) but apparently didn't apply to my warranty. Do your home work bro's and sis', oh yeah I got my ball joint swapped out too.
