Fuel Filter ?
I just looked in the 1999 LH service manual and the filter is located in the tank. No external filter is used. It's also part of an assembly that includes the regulator and fuel pump. So it's not cheap. The last assembly like this i purchased cost over 100 bucks and was for a Neon.
Why are you wanting to change the filter?

There is a problem with the car that the dealer cannot find. It will run fine in the city but after some highway driving the engine feels like its starving for fuel and will slowly slow to a idle till it finally dies. It will start a few times for second or two and that's it. After sitting for awhile it will start fine and run smoothly till the next time the malfunction occurs. It doesn't throw any codes and runs fine when the dealer tries to diagnose it. I have seen other engines behave like this when a fuel filter is really dirty. I don't want the dealer to start replacing parts by trial and error to fix the problem. I got a quote of around $159 at a dealer to replace the filter so that seems to be the most inexpensive way to start. Plus I have a gut feeling its the filter.
This is my sons car and its really driving us nuts. Any one have any ideas?
Thanks,
Michael
It's a bad pump/regulator assembly. They had problems with them when the got warm, they'd start running slower and slower until they quit. Mine hums like crazy and I'm waiting for the day it quits. It's inevitable.
If they are replacing the entire assembly that's not a bad price
How many miles are on your car?

94,000 miles and price is for the filter change only. Do you think I should go ahead and have the pump and assembly and regulator replaced? The dealer wants about $700 for that.
