Default No trouble code

Of course I am new to the board so please go easy on me. OK. With that out of the way here is my story and I am sticking to it.

I have a 2001 Dodge Ram 1500.
Been running with a Jet chip since 2001 when I bought the truck. Have had no problems since. THEN me being the idiot I am, I thought I would take out the chip and see if I really saw a difference. Ran for a week without the Jet Chip and really was not sure about the performance so I put the chip back in. Still no problem. After running a couple days with the chip back in I stopped to get gas. Turns out the gas pump was too slow so I stopped at $5.00. So we are talking what, about 3 gallons? Started the truck and saw the check engine light. I saw online a while back the gas cap could cause this so I thought it was no big deal. When I got home I checked to make sure the gas cap was on good. It was, still had check engine light. Ok. I have a little smarts. Thought it had to be something with the chip. So I took it back out. Light went out. Good deal I saved all kinds of money not taking it to the shop. Well a week later the light came on again. Now I am lost. Took the truck to a friend with a Predator to look for the trouble code. No trouble code found. Really losing it at this point. Came back home did some more investigating. If I have the air conditioning turned off I see no performance loss. But with it on the truck will die when coming to a stop. Not all the time but most of the time.

If I unplug the wire harness that the chip goes into and plug it back in the check light goes out, but as soon as I turn on the a/c the light comes back on.

let's sum this up. A/C on, truck dies when stopping.
rest the wire harness, A/C off, truck runs fine till I turn on the A/C.
Only change, I removed and re-added the Jet Chip.
Oil has been changed.
Air filter has been changed.
No trouble found using the Predator.

Anyone have anything that can help?

Thanks
David

Check The aic motor in the throttle body. Make sure it's working and the port it goes into is clean. This is what sets you idle speed. As far as the Jet chip, all it will do is advance your timing about 4 degrees. The computer will compensate for this in short order so you really gain nothing. Try a superchips programmer and Fastman t/b if you need more power. As far as the dtc, if you scan it with the light on you should get a code.

I was able to get the codes. P0123 and P1388

According to odbii.com P1388 does not pertain to my truck. Go figure.
P0123 is Throttle Position Sensor Circuit High Voltage.

Do you have any ide where this sensor is am how to test it?

The tps is on the passenger side of the throttle body. It can be tested with a volt/ohm meter. Put the test leads into the sensor and have someone press the throttle down slowly. Do this in the ohm setting on the meter. Watch for a smooth movement. Any jumps and the sensor has an open in it. Do this with the engine off.
