Default 1988 LeBaron

Hopefully someone here can help me figure this one out. 1988 Lebaron blows the oil filter gasket within seconds of starting the car. This car doesn't appear to have an oil pressure regulator (at least the book doesn't mention one). Am I looking at a bad oil pump, clogged oil line, etc.... Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

The spring in the oil pump is stuck. No regulation.

Yep, new oil pump fixed the problem. There was so much gunk and crud in there that I had to pull the pan off just to drain the oil. Cleaned everything up and put it back together only to discover that 5 out of 8 lifters were bad. Any idea how to get them out. I've broken 3 of them off in the head. They are very brittle. I've tried just about everything short of a chisel and hammer (that's next). Whatever they put in that motor pretty much glued up everything.
