Last November I came across this 84 dodge ram 1 ton van. It is a 15 passenger pig with a 360. It has only 145k on it and runs like a dream! Me and a few buddies picked it up for 175 bucks and drove it home. We recently painted (rattle canned) it flat black with pink flames and took it from northern minnesota to st. Loius to attend supercross it made it flawlessly. It is two wheel drive with a 727 or 904 trani. two wheel, especially rear wheel is not too good in the snow, especially with 1 ton springs. I'm looking into putting a chev 3/4 ton front axle or dana 44 in the front and the beastly 205 transfer case. I have the axles and transfer case but I'm not sure what i need or where i can get an adapter unit to go from the 727 or 904 to the NR 205? welding in the shackles and making my own transfer case linkage is not a problem, its simply the parts i need to hook this stuff up. Can anyone shine some light under my van????
