What Brand? Check all fuses first. If all good unplug brain let sit for a minute, while it's out smell it, smell funny? it's shot. if not plug it back in and start from scratch. No smell does not mean it's not toast. But it's an honest way of checking trace short'swith out ripping it apart

Oldest trick in the book I can't explain why it works sometimes. But it does sometimes it just needs to reset everything. It is actually in some of are alarm traing seminar books. But Im glad it worked for you. Quick story. My buddy had a CD player wouldn't work worth a **** outta warranty asked me to look at it. I ripped it apart checked the traces notta put it back together and it worked like new for year's. Funniest F**k'n thing I ever seen. To this day he still thinks I replaced somthing in it.
