ESC Removal question
I will apologize in advance , I am a noob and this may have already been posted somewhere but any sugestions would be greatly appercated.
I am working on a old 79 Dodge St. Regis (I know, I know its no Cuda but my grandfather gave it to me years ago)
It has a anemic 2bbl carb on a 318 equiped with Electronic Spark Control.
I am trying to rebuild the upper half of the engine. The bottom half of the engine is good and was working perfectly before it was parked for problems with the heads a few years ago. The plan is to remove and replace the 2bbl with a 4bbl and replace the cam, intake , lifters , push rods and either have the heads reconditioned or replace them as well. In order to replace the 2bbl with a 4bbl I have to replace the stock air box. This is where the problem come in. The electronic Spark controler is bolted to my air box.
Is there a way to completly remove the Spark controler with out causing problems for the engine. Is it possible replace it with a new PCU.
Thanks for what ever help you can offer.
