we have done a tune up recently thinking it was a firing problem also we have replaced the fuel pump and the main cpu and the car still has the same problem was wondering if there was something in the anti theft system that would caus e this problem cause sometimes when it is acting up it helps to lock the car go to the passenger side and unlock it then the car will start thanks for your interest

my guess would be with a security issue do to the fact that you stated when you unlock the passanger side door it will restart. not sure if haynes or chiltons would be a help to find the relay for it using the diagram. maybe if you have an adio shop nearby they can help find where as they do remote starters and alarm installs they may have access or even know where the module is located.

pull the drivers door panel off with the window UP. there should be a 2 wire sensor that's clipped on to the back of the drivers door lock tumbler, the sensor has failed or fallen off.... replace it & see if that helps your starting problem. IMO
