code question for 2002 4.7
I had a check engine light pop on so I had it checked at a local auto parts store. The code was p1491 manfacurer contrl. auxiliary emision controls. I didnt see this in the list of obd II codes. Does anyone know what this is? Thanks

Rad Fan Control Relay Circuit
An open or shorted condition detected in the radiator fan
control relay control circuit. This includes PWM solid state
relays.

If this is a ram truck, there is a tsb about the condensor fan fuse blowing. If this is your problem the tsb says to replace the condensor fan and have the pcm reprogrammed. I think the fan fuse is a 25 amp fuse in the pdc in the engine compartment (fuse #39).
