If they are flushing the Dex-Cool out due to silica, then they are dead wrong. The Dex-Cool formulas are the silica free formulas. Regular "green" ethelyne glycol coolant uses a ton of silica.

dex cool does contain silicates.

I stand corrected then.

When I was working for GM, they claimed it was silica and phosphate free. Who knew?

no insult meant or anything jeff at all. GM has a habit of doing that kind of stuff. I read alot on fluid anylasis thats how i knew about it.
