Default wheel wobble

driving the car yesterday, and, after a fit of anger twords some stupid teenagers in another car (which involved accelerating fully, and than, when they swerved in front of me, slamming on the brakes), the car now has a shake, wobble, whatever you want to call it (most noticeable between 30-40MPH).... but seems to go away when you take your foot off the gas.
rotated the tires today, doesnt make a real differance where the shaking is coming from (front passenger side)
any suggestions (tires are filled up all the same PSI and at the right PSI too)

Check the balance on ya tires. You may have lost a weight or two. At the same time check ya bearings (behind ya rotors) they may have been loosened during the hard braking.

You either scaloped the tires and they have a bald spot which will throw them off balance, lost a weight, or the bearings. Jack the car up and try to rock the tire from left to right and up and down. If you have much play that is probally the bearing. Take a look at the tires and see if they are uneven, Did you skid when you slammed on the brakes?

scalloping is unlikley from what you described, flat spot is possible but would more then likely move when you rotated the tires, missing weights is possible but also not probable they are on there pretty good. if it started after hard braking i would look towards a warped rotor or two due to the heavy brake application. the rapid build up of heat and the sudden stop could have caused a warped rotor. the fact that the wobble or vibration is still there would lead me towards the brakes specialy if you feel any type of pulsation in the brake pedal even though it is possible not to have that feeling and still have a warped rotor.

Its hard to warp a rotor with one good stop, it is possible though. If that was the case the vibration would only be during braking unless you seriously warped the rotor.

true it is difficult and easy at the same time. it could have been starting to warp over time and this was just the topping on the cake. i have seen brand new rotors come out of the box warped . the reason i said rotors is the fact that the wheel were rotated and the wobble is still the same if it had been a flat spot or a rim/tire problem the wobble would have moved to a different location.

if the wobble is coming from the same corner after rotation, it is not going to be a wheel balance problem, that would have moved the wobble. i would check into the brakes and or wheel bearings.

If u are saying it only happens on accelleration i would check your C.V. joints .
I have replaced many axles for this reason .
sometimes the inner joint no longer moves freely and this causes a shake on acceleration.

if it was the cv joint wouldnt it be clicking, i know what ur talkin about though the inner freezes up, personally i think its a weight, i think if it was a bearing it would do it all the time, a weight more than likely, happens to the best of us man, get a new one pressed on

If its still coming from the same wheel after rotating the tires then its not a weight. Its the brakes, rotor, bearing, or something that is permanent
