I have a 2000 dodge dakota. the problem is that with this alarm i have the 30 second delay after the door is closed tells the alarm the door is open and activates the alarm. is there something i can do to shut off the delay. the dealership cannot reprogram it. any way around it. if so how.

 

Most alarms will arm with zones not secure and then when they are secure will protect them. My alarm beeps once if everything is clear. If I arm it with the door open it will chirp 3 times then arm, if I close the door gently to not set off the shock sensor and then try to open the door again it will go off as normal. Check to see if this is an option on your alarm.
