When I had my silverado 5.3 ltr, I had one called Full Throttle with K&N filter. easy to install. There's a little increase in performance and got a little better gas mileage.

2003 dakota, 3.9. It looks to me that the air tubes from inlet and tube to manifold are big enough. Think that just K&N filter would be good enough???

That is what my Full Throttle was. It was just a connector tube with the filter. Because the hoses were the same size all the way through. Unlike ford where it tapers, then you have to replace all the tubing to the intake manifold.

It seems that the truck has a large air tube to the intake and also into the fender. The air box is large also. Is this sufficient?
