Default DTC P0442

I got a new DTC today and it says it is a Med Evap Leak. What does it mean and can I fix it. When I thought about it, I thought maybe the gas cap wasn't on tight, but I tried it and it didn't work. If I take it to the dealership, since it is covered under warranty, should I put the stock airbox or should that no be a problem.

Legally, a vehicle manufacturer cannot void the warranty on a vehicle due to an aftermarket part unless they can prove that the aftermarket part caused or contributed to the failure in the vehicle (per the Magnuson Moss Warranty Act (15 U.S.C. 2302(C))

I downloaded this from the Grantelli Motor Sports Site:

http://www.granatellimotorsports.com/magnusonmoss.htm

You can also check out the MM Warranty Act on other site.

This link is for a 2000 Dak but the error code should be the same. Good explanation:

Good luck

Thanks, that is what I figured was wrong. I'll check it out tomorrow.
