I just recently put a K&N intake on my 05 4.7l Ram 1500 and everything seems fine, love it. I noticed though that when I am driving and start to come to a stop at a light or stop sign I hear a sound almost like I have back pressure or a air blowoff going off. I don't know if it is back pressure from the butterfly on the tb closing and it's just spitting the unused air back out. If any one has ever heard a car that is turbo charged, it makes a certain sound when it shifts, this is what my intake sounds like (from what some people have said?) when I come to a stop after driving normaly. Can anyone help with some advise?

 

I would send k&n an email and see what they have to say about the issue. I personaly have never seen or even heard anything like that with an intake.

 

I have never heard of that either. Thats weird, I would make sure you have the intake installed correctly
