Default water sounds under dash board

I was wondering if any of you folks have had a similar
problem. Of water gurgeling sound coming from under the dash
board. It is mainly when I take off from a stop. That it
makes the most noise. Any Ideas? It is a 1998 Dodge Ram
1500 4X4 extended cab,short bed.[:-]
Thanks

It sounds like you might be hearing the coolant in the heater core.

Sounds like you may have air in the system. This may work, start when engine is cold, take radiator cap off, fill radiator, make sure overflow tank has coolant in it. run engine at fast idle until hot, keeping radiator full. Put radiator cap back on, shut engine off. Then squeeze and release top radiator hose at it highest point. Do the squeezing repeatedly. This got the air out of mine. Don't burn your hands, the hose gets hot!

I agree with the other replies you've received. I have the EXACT same problem. It's air in the cooling system. The system is meant to run virtually air free. Places to look first would be your radiator cap (the rubber seal splits when old), your themostat housing gasket, your upper and lower radiator hoses, the waterpump bypass hose, and the heater hoses. Other places you might be getting air in the system...heater core leak, radiator leak, blown head gasket, bad water pump, and the worse scenario....one or more cracked heads. Look for the simple stuff first if you're not having overheating problems. Mine started 4 months ago and is getting progressively worse. I've replaced the cheap stuff but the problem remains. I'll be looking at the heads and head gaskets next. I don't overheat yet, but do run near the 'red' line on the gauge. Oh well.
I hope you have better luck.
