Default 94 tranny slipping



Has anyone out there had problems with tranny slipping on a 94 Ram 1/2 ton 2wd? It slips in OD and Drive, just started today. Truck has 86k on it.</P>


HELP?</P>

I have a 94 Ram 1/2 ton 2wd, I JUST had that problem, I needed a new spring on the throttle linkage...

Hey thanks for the info. I have a couple of other things wrong as well. Perhaps you could take a stab at for me. High beem switch and no cruse control. Fuses are good.

The Cruise Control could be faulted by the Stop Lamp Switch, located behind the brake pedal. If slammed the brakes all the way recently or something, it may have unset it self. Unfortunately the only way to tell is to replace it. It costs about $21.25 at your local dealer. It's a 'one time adjustment' part.

As for the high beams, maybe there was a short and both bulbs blew? More likely it's the headlmap switch, and there's a default somehow in yours where it won't engage the high beams. That's about $82.00 at the dealer. So, i'd make sure it was that if you can before buying the part.
