Po370,p1690,po230 can you tell me for sure it has something to do with injecter pump and lift pump[:@]

Could you tell us what year this is? Assuming It's a 5.9 DSL? Never mind, I found your other post. You must have the later engine 1998.5+
I have seen an article about installing a lift pump pressure gauge that the driver can monitor all the time from the dash. If you see the pressure go low or out you can shut down before the injector pump takes a dive. Can't find that article right now.


SYMPTOM
P-0230 TRANSFER PUMP CIRCUIT OUT OF RANGE


POSSIBLE CAUSES

Fuel transfer pump ground circuit open
Transfer pump power feed circuit open
Transfer pump power feed circuit shorted to ground
Engine control module defective
Fuel transfer pump defective (ground circuit)
Fuel transfer pump defective (power feed resistance)
Fuel transfer pump defective (power feed voltage)
Fuel transfer pump defective (resistance out of range)

SYMPTOM
P-0370 FUEL INJECTION PUMP SPEED/POSITION SENSOR SIG LOST


POSSIBLE CAUSES

Fuel injection pump defective (Engine off)
Fuel injection pump defective (Engine running)

SYMPTOM
P-1690 FUEL INJECTION PUMP CKP SENSOR DOES NOT AGREE WITH ECM CKP


WHEN MONITORED
Ignition on, engine running.

SET CONDITION
No signal within window parameters. No Ckp sensor or Cmp sensor DTC's present

POSSIBLE CAUSES

DTC counter not change to 0
Fuel pump ctrl mod harness observable defect
Fuel pump static timing incorrect
Fuel sync signal circuit open
Fuel sync signal circuit short to ground
Engine control module defective

its a 3/98 dodge ram 3500 5.9l cummins i had replaced the inj.pump and the lift pump in march last year
and it started giving me probs this past monday and died so i got the computer out and these are the codes it give me.

po370 inj pump iat fault
p1690 inj pump ckp & ecm disagree
po230 transfer pump ckt out of range


so im gonna put a new lift pump and a new injection pump in and a fuel pressure gauge
so i can tell what it doing this time its just gonna cost me a little time couse its under warranty
the thing is i have never done this is pretty easy or what
is ther a place i can go to get some info on how to do this HELP ME ??????????????? please
im sure i can do this if i rebilt the 5 speed tranny with just a little help from a freind
that has done a few trannys before but not a 5 speed dodge nv4500 that was fun so im gonna get to tackle that prob wednesday
but i do need some info on what im getting into
