Default core charge

Today i found out how much i would be getting back on my old engine as a core... Well, the crankshaft core is out the window(4pcs). The block is out the window(chunks everywhere).
But i did get the core for the heads($100).
Not much help.
Ever had a good core go bad?(doubt many posts will follow)hehe
Nobody can blow'em like me!(not that kind of blowing sick-o)

I had a 273 blow so hard that it broke the tailshaft housing on the transmission and broke the starter motor case. Came apart at 6000 RPM. My first wife had not watched the temp guage and spun a bearing so I finished it off.

My moms boyfriend blew the drive shaft out of the diff,
1400hp street leagel vette.900hp off the bottle.
The driveshaft smashed holes in the track and then went through the
bottom of the car.
So while we fixed it(3months) The engine went into a lighter Chevy II.
