Default Engine light on

my check engine light came on on my 1999 dodge ram 1500

I had it scanned and it said P0308 Cylinder 8 Misfire

What can cause this is it a bad spark plug maybe? i have noticed it is hesitating and idleing kind of rough

Did you ever have the engine DE carbonized
Cleaned out.

Try some Fuel system cleaner try the one from dealer
OR try the Chevron system cleaner.

Swap the plug and spark plug to another cylinder and see if misfire code moves to that cylinder. If so then time a full tune-up. If code stays same then I would suspect its time for a valve job, they are know for dropping valve seats and/or breaking valve springs. Compression test or leak down test can confirm.
