I've got a 99 ram sport and the seat belt light stays on even after I put on my seat belt, what could be the problem?[sm=badbadbad.gif]

 

I have the same problem with my 97 Ram. Check the connection at the seatbelt for loose wires or dirty connections etc.

 

i have that problem as well in my '97. When that light started staying on, i also had a buzzer that stayed on until you pull the seatbelt past a certain point, which yes, is safe, but annoying when im just sitting there.

 

Definitely look under the seat for the plug and make sure that it didn't come unplugged accidentally.
