Trend in sales?
At the Gilroy CPD dealer last night there were two 300C's. They were right up front on their display pad on the corner. I looked but didn't really see any other "plain" 300's on the lot--maybe all behind their buildings. But this seems a little surprising. I'm seeing a TON of 300's on the road around here but a large portion are not "C's". This dealer--which normally doesn't do dealer markup--it's sort of their gimmick to get people to come down from San Jose and buy in Gilroy--had put a $2000 markup on both cars. They'd also added about $2000 in dealer options--mostly fabric and paint protection. Raised the prices with all the options on one to something like $42000 asking and the other without navigation and a few other things to $38,000.
I think maybe they're breaking the price point for people that want the Hemi--for VERY little more you could buy one of their three SRT10 trucks, or for less a RumbleBee (which theirs sold very quickly by the way). Yet the under $30,000 models are selling.
. . . Something wrong here. I think they're missing the market by trying to put a Hemi sedan against a Cadillac or Mercedes price point. I think this dealer should keep it "One of the best values in America" and sell as many as they can instead of just a few for as much as they can.
(2cents and dime extra.)

RE: Trend in sales?
The dealers are getting what they can, while they can. There are not supposed to be anymore dealer stock deliveries until August. This was an early release to gather public interest. My folks want one bad and even with pull at the dealership I can't get anything for at least 2 months. All the S/O's are going to be done now so dealer inventory is going to be non-exisistent. As for the market-this car will easily kick a$$ on all but the high-end sports ride Caddy is offering and AMG versions of Mercedes. If you haven't got to beat one up yet---find a way.
