Default 1996 Dodge Neon won't start, please help

Hi folks,

I started up my Neon, went for a drive and I saw the battery light indicator turn on. I headed back home and I parked it. I turned off the ignition, and then tried to restart and it wouln't even turn over. Good thing I didn't try this test on the road.

I parked my truck next to the Neon and tried to give it a jumpstart and the lights inside turn on when I hook up my truck using jumper cables, but the ignition still doesn't respond.

I swapped my truck's battery with my Neon and the Neon will not start (expected) and neither will my truck with the Neon battery.

I put everything back together and my truck works fine, but my Neon won't start.

Any ideas?

Did I include enough information to diagnose?

It sounds like a bad ground connection.Try hooking the negative jumper cable directly to the engine when jump starting and see if that helps.

I did scrape off any corrosion aroung the terminals, but I will try your suggestion.

You're asking me to connect the negative end of the jumper cable on the Neon's side to the engine or chassis right?
