The other day my car ran out of gas without the gas light coming on, so i got gas for it and put it in. Now my car wont idle at all, i have to do it myself which means the car wont run. We changed the spark plugs and wires but it still wont idle. Does anyone have any idea what the problem may be?

First thing that comes to mind when you stated that you ran out of gas, is clogged. You may have sucked up some tiny debris from the bottom of the tank and clogged the pump, line, or injectors. Get some seafoam, mccc, or even just some fuel injector cleaner (it may or may not help) and put some in the gas tank.

 

Do you know where the fuel filter is located on a dodge avenger 2.5L ? I've heard it was under the fuel tank and if so u got any suggestions to help out ?
