No, pinion factor is not adjustable on 300C. If you go into ABS module it will let you navigate to pinion factor adjustment but only have the OE tire size listed. It is set at end-of-line calibration.

Thats odd because dealers around here(detroit), are selling them with 20-22 inch wheels on them already. I mean they are not stock of course, but I'm surprized that the dealers would be asking for trouble like that. Of course they are also putting vinyl tops on them as well, UCK!

Yeah we sell them with 22's-look real nice.Doesn't change the fact that you cant set it. BTW, if anybody has one they look real good with 265/35R22's, you have to trim the upper ball joint stud a little.

Thanks for the info Dodgemech.I'm debating between 20's and 22's.I saw the problem with the upper ball joint stud.It looks like you can trim it about 1/2 inch.I think that's the only way to fit 22's.I think I just might go with 20's.I'm also getting a billet grille put on this week they just came out and it goes with all the lines of the front of the car,it should look real good. When i get a picture I'll post it.

Hello, new to the board. I am in the process of purchasing a 300c and planned on slapping some 20 inch rims on them which is why I found your comments interesting. I am not to familiar with the mechanical lingoes which is why it would be great to get more details on the pinion factor not being adjustable on the 300C. I myself do not even know what a pinion factor is. I also read that "if you go into ABS module it will let you navigate to pinion factor adjustment but only have the OE tire size listed. It is set at end-of-line calibration."

I am almost embarrassed to say but I do not know what this means. Can any of you supply more details in hope that I will not make any wrong decisions when modifying my new vehicle?

Feel free to e-mail me at robert@asciofmiami.com

Best regards,

OBBY

Hey Obby, I wouldn't expect very many people to understand those terms. The car does not have a speedometer cable to the transmission. The cars computer knows that when it was built it had tires that were X size and it had Z gears in the differential and the transmission gear ratios were F,H,G,L. I then takes the speed at the wheel speed sensors and does a computaion to figure out how fast you are going. If you change the tire size the computer needs to know that so it can adjust its math. On the 300C you cannot tell the computer you have changed tires so everything kinda gets "thrown outta wack. Not a real big deal but definetly not right.

I saw one the other day with a vinyl top...................nasty.
I also saw a convertable, usually a 4 door covertables are nasty but on the 300 it looks nice....Just got my 22's put on and let me tell you what a difference. It looks even better then I thought it would and handles so much better without those balloon tires.I'll put up a picture once I figure out how to do it.....
