Hi, getting ready to adjust my bands and one of the steps it tells you to tighten the locknut to 72 inch pounds and then to back off 2 7/8 turns. Just wondering what it means to back off. Sorry for the stupid question but the help would be much appreciated.

 

That is the band adjustment screw you tighten to 72 inch pounds and back off. Then tighten the lock nut.
