Don't feel bad, my '58 Plymouth had a push button tranny on the dash....I never got used to it and ended up getting slapped on more than one occasion for "groping" the girl sitting next to me....[:@]

Where does groping a girl come into having a push button tranny on the dash?

maybe I'm sticking in more than my 2 cents worth, but I've "popped the clutch" a time or two and it was done in order to get the truck to crank when the starter, battery, neutral safety switch was out or not cooperating.
We put the truck/car in gear, held in the clutch, got it rolling pretty well, and then let out on the clutch and hopefully the truck/car would start. I don't ever remember the clutch popping, but maybe it did!
The manufacturers say nowdays not to pop the clutch because it could ruin the synchronizers, so I would rather not try it again just to hear the "pop"! Will you try for me, Dusty?

Its a figure of speech. Kinda like ,"Dump the Clutch". If you do hear a pop, better go get it checked.

The last time I push/roll started a vehicle was a German Ford Fiesta in the 70's. I don't know what the recommended procedure was, the owner's manual was all in German...

"Sprechen Sie Deutsch, auf bitte?" Dusty? Probably enough to get in trouble, right?

The ONE time I and another guy met up with some German gals was at a festival at the "Fest Platz" across the street from my house in Sohren, Germany....our wives were out shopping together at the time, so we only danced a few polkas and then had a beer or two (or three)....it was tempting, but NO, I never messed around on my first wife of 15 years or any of the others, no matter what they did....you gotta have a higher standard to keep your self esteem and a sense of self worth.
