Default differential

I have a 92 dakota 3.9 2wd and I'm looking for a little more grip so I want to put a positrac rear end on it, but I don't know what fits and what doesn't. Any help would be greatly appriciated

look through the junk yards, they made them back then.its not called a posi but a shuregrip rearend. i dont know much info on them. you might even get in touch with a dealer and find out some parts numbers. my 05 dak has that rearend in it.

My Dakota knowledge is a little rusty...been 10 years since my Dad sold his...but I believe your truck has a Chrysler 7.25 rear axle. It's not very easy at all to find a LS differential for that axle. [>:] I'm not even sure if there was a factory sure grip option for that axle.
