my 99 ram 5.2L has a defective speed sensor, the speedometer will not work, also when i let up on the gas pedal it will quit. My autoxray 5000 scanner only detects a bad speed sensor in the trouble code area.
does anyone have any suggestions ?

Replacing the speed sensor should fix both problems. Try it and get back to me
