I have an 89 omni and its been sitting for a couple months. It started up two days ago but today i went to start it and it just cranked. I found that it has no spark from the coil. So i replaced the coil and still nothing.. and one have any suggestions? could it be a bad ecm?
First, check for blown fuses.
Than, I think your car might have an automatic shutdown (ASD) relay. Swap that out with a KNOWN GOOD relay (or, a new one).
After that, post back with results.
check timing belt? If belt breaks or teeth strip off, distributor wont turn and you will get no spark. Take off distibutor cap and have a friend crank over engine to see if rotor button turns. Be sure to ground coil wire though or you can fry the pcm.
