Default Dodge Diplomat, 318 engine, 2 barrel Carb

My car (1988) keeps dieing as if it ran out of gas. I just this weekend, rebuilt the Carb, new air filter, new fuel filter, new fuel pump. It would not start after that, I primed the carb. with a little gas, it ran for about 3 seconds. I pulled the fuel line off, another person helping me turned the starter on for a couple of seconds, gas did run out of the fuel line, but it came out slow. I'm not sure how fast it should come out. It was suggested that the fuel line itself, between the tank and the fuel pump could be stopped up.

I'm wondering if any of you have a thought or the answer for us.

Thanks

Frank

Yep, gas tank could be full of rust and thus you would have a clogged pickup screen in the tank. Remove the line going to the tank at the fuel pump and blow compressed shop air into the line with the GAS CAP OFF!
