Default Hemi head id

we are in the early devoploment (the beginings) of a hi-performance 5.7 hemi head. i need to ask a question. it seems that we have two types of hemi heads here one appears to be off of a larger bore motor than the other. the casting numbers are as follows:05037369AA and 53021616BA.
if anyone knows exact application, esp. on the first number, i would greatly appreciate the help. thank you!!

gunnar. I just sent a link to the thread to my brother at a Dodge dealership to see if he can reference it for you. Are the chambers different sizes? How different are they? Can you send, or post any pictures.

those are part numbers, and both of them are dead, with no forward reference. i tried a few variations, with no luck. the numbers they have in my computer are 53021608BA and 53021609BA

if i had one here, i could look at it,but we dont, because its a hemi, and hemis dont die..they multiply..hence we dont need to fix them...

wait...those numbers you have, where did you get them?? im thinking perhaps one is a truck head, and one is a PC head, thus one made more for torque, and one made for hp. any ideas??

im not argueing that point. all im saying is that my computer, when given a part number, refers it forward if there is a new number...evidently, that particular number was never listed as such.

It must be just a different year head or like badsratrt said. Does it have a casting date on it?
