Default Amsoil Questions and answ

Many people are not familiar with the AMSOIL line of premium synthetics. Mostly they are unaware that nothing out-performs AMSOIL. If you have any questions . Post them here, I'm here to help for all your lubrication needs. Just a quick note: I am using amsoil 10w40 with the dual by-pass (see pic) Getting almost a 2 MPG increase, and the temp guage dropped almost a 1/4 inch. I'm in Phoenix, so temp is an issue. And I won't have to change the oil for 25,000 miles or more. Feel free to ask me why. <IMG src=smileys/smiley2.gif border="0"> <IMG style="WIDTH: 484px; HEIGHT: 396px" height=702 src=uploads/SyntheticsMan/AA238_homo_001.JPG width=930 border="0"> <edited><editID>dodgeforum</editID><editDate>37959.8912152778</editDate></edited>

I'm not shy... I'll be the first unknowing person to write... LOL!

1. Why is Amsoil better then other oil?
2. What are the differances?
3. Is it safe for all rides? My trucks a 1994 and I don't want to give her something she can't handle...
4. What's the maintance schedule for a Dodge Ram on Amsoil?
5. I live in Michigan... we get very cold, very hot and lots of inbetween... what gains should I expect?

Sorry for so many questions... I'm 110% unknowing about Amsoil... but very interested...<IMG onclick="AddSmileyIcon'smileys/smiley17.gif'" alt=Tongue src=smileys/smiley17.gif border="0">

And how much would it cost to switch over to amsoil and will it make a difference to a vehicle that already has high miles on it?

First a little history about amsoil

By looking at test results you can see AMSOIL is superior to the other top brands. Also read this challange by our CEO...

AMSOIL is "The First in Synthetics" and also the first in quality, protection and performance. Every other oil company in the world was given the chance to object when AMSOIL applied for trademark rights to "The First in Synthetics", yet after 90 days of waiting, not a single one objected!

The U.S. Patent and Trademark Officials stated that by claiming that AMSOIL was the first historically, that AMSOIL was also insinuating to be the best (or #1/first) from a quality or performance standpoint. AMSOIL showed the government officials comparison documentation and test data backing up the claim that AMSOIL was also the best.

After the government officials notified all other oil manufacturers that AMSOIL was claiming to be the best, not a single other oil company or competitor objected! Not a peep from any of them! I can guarantee you that if any of these competitors and major oil companies had a product better than AMSOIL they would have objected.

The differences are in the performance of AMSOIL, plain and simple , By looking at test results alone, you'll see the differences clearly.

AMSOIL is safe for all vehicles, in fact , it meets/exceeds every standard by any auto maker in the world.

with my truck, I won't change the oil for 25k, I'll change the filter at 12.5k, and I'll do an oil analysis at 25k too. to see how the oil is performing when I take it out. Or if the tests prove to be good, I'll leave it in. Thats the beauty of AMSOIL , it resists breakdown like no other.

Being in a cold climate , you would be fine with the 0W or 5W depending on your temp range. You will expect easier starts in winter, better protection overall, in the summer, you'll see a cooler operating temp, and year round, you see better mileage and overall performance. Superior protection.

I'll mention that the filters have 100% more capacity than conventional filters. Also , have a check valve that keeps oil in the filter when engine is shut off. This allows the oil to be in the oiling system right away. This also restricts unfitlered oil from dumping back in the system at shut off.

ok, the dual bypass is the best protection period for your engine oil. This filters particles in smaller than a micron. Since we know dirt and other particles cause engine wear. We can nearly eliminate the wear. In turn adding years and 1000's of miles to your engine. And reducing the risk of engine failure.

The bypass can be used on any vehicle, as long as you can make it fit. The filters are different sizes for different cars. And of course can be used on any application, even if its driven hard.

In a racing application, AMSOIL recommends changing the oil after reviewing OIL analysis. Because OIL analysis is so important to determine the true condition of the oil, and to detect problems in your engine.

And we offer discounts gallore, any person can get dealer costs with our preffered customer program, which is only $10 for a 6 month or $20 for a year. This means you get dealer prices for this amount of time.
