Need help with my timing
I just did a head gasket job on my '89 Spirit. (2.5L SOHC Turbo) I lined up the timing marks on my cam, and brought my crank to piston #1 TDC. But back when I was checking my oil pump for excessive play/wear, I turned the intermediate sprocket shaft, thus messing up ignition timing with the distributor. Is making this line up with the mark on the crank sprocket that crucial? or can i get it within the ballpark to the crank's TDC and play with the distributor advance when I have it running?
