Default Brakes...

My brake and ABS indicator lights (in the dash) have come on, and are staying on. I checked the master cylinder for leaks and found none. I then pulled the rear drums and the brake shoes are in excellent shape. Could I have a sensor out?[sm=confused06.gif]

I'm assuming this is a ram judging from your user name. The most comon problem with these was the rear wheel speed sensors. You might post the model vehicle and get a little more detailed information, also check and see if the speedometer works at low speeds.

Ahh, yeah, sorry. It is a ram. '99 1500. My speedometer is acting up until I hit 20 mph,now that you mention it. Where do I find the sensors, and how do I check them (assuming I can)?

The rear wheel speed sensor is located on the top of the rear differential housing and is fairly simple to replace. The only problem you may have is the o-ring get dry and makes the sensor a little hard to pull out. There are some ways to check the sensor and wiring but its nothing simple, I'd just try a sensor.
