Default Driveshaft issues!

Hello. I'm not too savy with mechanical problems and recently in my 2002 Dodge Ram 1500 Crew Cab Long Bed 4x4 my driveshaft disconnected from my rear axle. I took the driveshaft off and could see that the piece that connects it to the rear axel was broken. What is this piece called; where the driveshaft connects to the rear axle. It is a square piece about 4" x 4" or so. A friend had told me it's a "rear pinion yoke" although when I search for it online the part does not look the same. Can anyone help. Thanks for your time and effort.

the piece that the furthest to the rear U joint slips into if that makes any sense. I believe that it connects to the rear differential?

On the end of the shaft you have your Ujoint, then thats attached to the driveshaft flange. The flange on the driveshaft inturns bolts to the flange on the Pinion Gear in the differental

Thanks junior. Dodge Manufacturer is telling me that the part is the rear yoke and it costs $39.95. I guess they are wrong?

Not nessarly, the mopar parts catalog calls it a flange, but the general term everyone is familiar with is yoke. No problem, glad I could help.
