Default check engine light

My check engine light came on and i used a code reader to find out what the problem was and it turned out to be an output speed sensor circuit malfunction. Do i need to take this to the dealer or could a shop fix this.

Thanks.

On the drivers side of the trans towards the rear, buy a new sensor & look at it before you climb under there.... you'll find it!!
