ya that would be sweet but that little 2.4 4 banger does put out some ponys specialy when you drop in a underdrive pully and adjustable cam gears. pretty much the cheap and easy way to bump up the horse power

That why they came out with the PT Turbo with almost the same turbo set up as the SRT-4. <img border="0" src=smileys/smiley2.gif border="0">

Isnt there a law about the emissions being too high after you throw a turbo on it? I thought I saw that somewhere...

The Turbos can haul some rump. If they were not so heavy they would really move.

To those griping about the lack of power in the PT's...I'm on my second. I had one of the orginals purchased in June '01 and recently traded it in on an '04 GT. Vastly improved. They've left out some of the nicer little touches that the original had - like folding heated mirrors, but the extra umph is more than worth it. This puppy gives my hubby's Mustang GT a real run for it's money (he's depressed now because I can stay with him off the line).
I'm just getting ready to put the PT away for the winter. I drove the '01 year round, but the '04 will be a summer car. Any tips on winter storage? Just bought one of those canvas portable garages since the mustang gets priority parking in our single garage (grrr). Had the oil changed and put water remover in with a full tank of gas...anything else I should do?
Thanks!

man, I drove an 03 PT cruiser (limited) for something like 6 months and I hated it. If I was alone, it could almost have been called peppy, but if there was anyone else in the car it was horrible. Gas mileage sucked hard, because the car was so heavy, I rarely got more than 15 in the city. I think they're ugly as poo. Meh. at least it was roomy.
