Default Radio din size?

This is for my 99 Ram. Am I correct that these radios are a 1.5 din size?
The stock radio took a dump and I'm looking for a replacement.

Correct. You can maybe upgrade to a better stock unit from ebay, if you do that sort of thing. Compatable radios will be from years up to 2000. Hope this helps.

sooooo..who's from outta town?

but seriously...i thought that with all newer vehicles, DIN sizes only come in 3 optiions, and couldnt you just measure the front of the radio??

since i posted the wreck pics, i figured id try to help by checking at work, but to no avail thus far.

Dodge and GM both have adopted a 1.5 DIN size for their vehicles, Ford has went with a 1 3/4 DIN for most of their vehicles. Do you have your heart set on a OEM radio for it? Pioneer and JVC make head units that fit in the opening perfectly and maybe would save you some money.
