Default 99 Neon-Can't figure this out-Help?

99 Neon-SOHC-80,000 miles-Automatic Last week the battery light came on for 30 seconds and then went off. Next day it had a rough idle. Changed the plugs and checked the wires and ran perfect for 3 days. Rough idle is back and it's cutting out at all speeds. No CEL. Only problems with the car was 8 months ago it threw a CEL and I scanned it and it was the MAP sensor. Took it out and cleaned and no problems since then. What is confusing me is no CEL is being thrown. Have owned 3 Dodge Spirits and have had to replace 4 O2 sensors over the years. 2 times the bad sensor threw a CEL and the other 2 it didn't. My mechanic said they will do that sometimes. This Neon has the original 02 sensors. Would change the fuel filter but the 99 has the filter/regulator set-up. Is there a way to check that? Would like your input. Many thanks!

did your car act up when the weather was wet? these engines have problems with the plug wires breaking down when wet. try mixing salt and water in a spray bottle and spray on your wires. let the water soak for a minute or two then start your car and see if it misses.

my Neon does that. So far though it hasn't stalled or anything. check the battery terminals and the grounds to make sure their all connected, they have a tendancy to just randomly come loose a little and such.
