my ram idles ok but it shuts down when it is put in gear or if you can get it going it shuts down as soon as the brakes are applied.

 

try using carb cleaner on the throttle body it may be gunked up with crap and so on

 

Hahaha, my 07 Ram does the same thing... it could be a number of things.

Is it an automatic?
When the brakes are applied, is it when you come to a stop? or just if they are applied at all?

Turn it on, let it sit and warm up, then try it.
