I got a '04 1500 std. cab hemi and i recently installed a custom flowmaster delta 40 series muffler with two 2.5" exits straight to the back. i have noticed a lot more sound (rumble) and bottom end torque. also i have installed the viper srt-10 factory hood and let me tell you what a difference it makes in looks. i got 1026 miles and i get 9.8 mpg and i spin the tires without trying. 20" aluminum polished wheels and tires. also try the new edelbrock headers if and when they come out tfs #6609.

 

Have any of you guys replaced the o2 sensors w/ a sim, and did away w/ the convertor? Or split it in half and gutted it, and put it back on for a visual. Just curious?[sm=tongue.gif] Contemplating this for my 2000 5.9

 

Okay, so let me get this story straight. You got the duals, then you decided against the power loss you encountered. Then you get the CAI and decide that you wish you had kept the duals? I just want to clarify because I am planning on modding my 04 Black Hemi. I was thinking a functional ram air hood (RAMAIRHOOD.COM) and a dual exhaust (Borla, Magnaflow, or Flowmaster). I tipped the stock exhaust with a dual stainless tip, and it looks pretty mean, so I was thinking of putting te same tip on the other side. What impacts am I looking at with ram air and the dual exhaust?

Has anyone noticed that while the Ram's exhaust piping goes from 2x2.5 into one mandrel bent 3.0, the muffler itself is only 2.5. The tailpiping expands outwards to 3.00 after it leaves the muff.....wuts the deal with that?
