has anyone heard of the flowmaster american thunder exhaust system. I think it comes with their 50 series muffler. I can get one that has a dual exit behind my rear tires for about $350. Does anyone know anything about this system and would you recommend it for a 98 1500 qc 5.9 liter?

My freind had it on his Ram and hated it. Even more so after a sound ticket was handed to him. I would recomend a Hooker Aero Chamber. Best flowing "Chamber" muffler on the market. Dyno max has excellent equipment as well.

im not sure we have too much in the way of an ordinance on exhaust noise here in Las Cruces. Some people drive around without anything at all. Did he say why he didnt like it?

I love my 50 series Flowmasters on my Roadrunner, everyone else seems to love them as well. I'm still thinking of replacing them with the 40 series though, I love it loud and I love their sound.

It will definately be loud, but the single 3" should help to quiet it down some.
