Hushpower 2?
Well, my last post didnt prove to have much of a response. But, maybe a more specific question would. Has anyone tried flowmasters new "Hushpower II" muffler? It claims to be "Designed for use with street rods, customs and sport trucks. We created Hushpower II as the perfect hot rod muffler. Can be used in multiple locations within the exhaust system. " The small size looks like it would be easily implemented into most exhaust systems. I just wonder how it sounds, and if it would sound good at all on a v6. Certainly v6's don't have that notorious v8 rumble, but I'm hoping for a deeper meaner sound at least.
i have heard the hushpower before on a v8 and its kinda really quite, cant really tell the difference on it, it would prolly do the same on a v6, if ur lookiing for a mad beefy v8 sound in park to nuetral and half way into 2nd i would recommend a borla xs pro muffler, i have had one on my 2k1 silverado reg cab v6 4.3 and at stand still it sounds like a v8 until u hit 3rd and it sounds like a mad bumble bee
exactly like a mad ricer
, i was always made fun of
for trying to make lead into gold (v6 into v8)[:@]. but when in the city it did sound like a v8 going slow that is, until i hit the highway, the intake makes the difference to, more air more sound, goodluck on what ur final outcome will be..

I've heard some v-6 camaro's and firebirds that people get sounding like v-8s around here. A lot of the v-8 wannabe's like myself, who just can't afford one. My buddy has a Gibson side swept system on his 02 s-10 4.3 L, and it sounds deep and good, but not quite the loud rumble I'm looking for. I need something to blow the shirts off the females around here. [sm=smiley36.gif]
I've got a Borla Pro XS muffler welded in and I like the sound. It's pretty deep and has gotten louder over time. When I'm done with school this semester, I'm going to put a 3" dump on it. That will probably be the sound I am looking for.
