Im kind of new to this site. Im looking for just a little better sound and a little bit of performance from some dual pipes. I have a 05 ram 4.7L. Im not looking to spend to much. Can somebody push me in the right direction.

 

if you can weld you can do it yourself. All you would need is a Y pipe, some straight pipe and 2 muffler's.

 

you can buy a dual outlet muffler from flowmaster or dynomax, but you will get more sound than performance.

 

Well you're not really going to get much performance if any, unless you spend money on a borla or such. Flowmaster will give you great sound, and its cheap, but just about no performance.

 

if cost is really an issue, you could also look into running a single inlet dual outlet muffler, it won't be a true dual exhaust and performance gains would be minimal at best, but that is your best bet if you are on a shoe string budget and your are more concerned about the look.

if you are looking for the best performance gains, I would recommend running true duals along with an intake kit or at least a high flow filter. After all your engine is only a giant air pump so the more you can move in and out will yield the highest performance gains.
