Hey mopar, are you saying that it would be better to leave the existing system alone, except for the muff, and add headers? Same go for the Hemi?

Yeah. The stock pipes are pretty well thought out, and will be capable of handling most mods, including headers. All that I'm really trying to say is this, from an economical perspective you will get better return from the headers on this particular vehicle.

If you get under your truck and look at what's there vs. what you get in a catback system,,, you'll probably agree with me. I can't even convince myself that changing the muffler would yield much, but giving the aftermarket some credit I would have to say there is possibly a little there.

The stock exhaust manifolds are the big loser on the trucks for all engines. You'll laugh when you see the stock manifolds from the Hemi.

I would really like to see some unbiased dyno numbers that show gains from a catback system. Edelbrock claims they got gains from headers and y-pipe, while other companies are claiming gains of greater return from just a catback system. SOmebody is full of POOPY.

I would love to see these aftermarket companies provide a money back guarantee if their product doesn't produce the increases they claim, or at least close to what they claim. Some of the claims I've seen I just can't believe. For headers, I've seen anywhere from 20-30 HP on the Hemi.
