Strange noise after goin cold air
i just installed a cold air intake about a week ago, AEM, for my dodge avenger.
works great. sounds like a new engine.
however, when i cold start my engine, there's a noise coming from the intake. kindof like a...grinding, for lack of a better word. not hardcore, but atleast that's what it sounds like.
what do you think happened? moisture get into the intake or something? how serious is something like this?

its just the IAC, or Idle Air controller, they always have that sound when cold since the engine is idling a little higher
you have nothing to worry about, its very normal, tho if you want clean out your throttle body & IAC with some Castrol SPF or some other cleaner, TB wise it helps throttle response, & IAC normally gets gummed up after a while, & probably sound less harsh when cleaned
